Falwell Sr. was found unconscious in his office this morning
LYNCHBURG, Va. (AP) — The Rev. Jerry Falwell was hospitalized in “gravely serious” condition Tuesday after being found unconscious in his office Tuesday, a Liberty University executive said.
Ron Godwin, executive vice president of Falwell’s university, said Falwell was found unconscious after missing an appointment Tuesday morning.
Falwell, a television evangelist who founded the Moral Majority, became the face of the religious right in the 1980s. He later became president of the conservative Liberty University. Falwell was hospitalized twice in early 2005 for heart and lung problems.
My thoughts and prayers are with the Falwell family at this time. He was and is a great man of God, a real inspiration to others, and he is Home. Dr. Falwell truly has his mansion now. God bless.
So Rev Falwell passes on. If there would be a heaven or hell..it would be worth the price of a ticket to see “God’s” reaction to the arrival of this narrow minded and almost hateful man. Falwell founded a movement based on persecuting the weaknesses of others. He will not be missed by myself and I suspect many others.
There will be no celebration when Al Wagenaar dies. No one will even know who the B is.
I hate to say it but wow, our society is a hell of a lot better off with the fact that the head bigot Jerry “Hitler” Falwell will soon be pushing up daisies as he prepares for his eternal dirt nap in hell. The real celebration wil be when the devil’s spawn AKA Pat Robertson dies sometime soon (he is older than dirt after-all). I can’t even imagine the amount of pain con artists like them have caused so many people but just the number of gay teen suicides Falwell and Robertson have personally caused is enough to compare them to Hitler and the Nazi’s. I know because some of those teens were my friends! The world will be a much better place once these old hate-monger televangelists are rotting in hell forever.
I know there are mixed reactions about there about Falwell’s death. I’d like to ask you all how you think Liberty will change. I know Jerry Jr. and he is quite the businessman — any thoughts from you guys on this?
